July 30, 1927

A new bus route launched, operating within the “City” system of the Toronto Transportation Commission. Buses operate from Lawton Loop at Yonge and Lawton via Lawton Boulevard, Lonsdale Road, Oriole Parkway, Eglinton Avenue and Avenue Road to Strathallan Boulevard. There, buses wye and return via the reverse route.

Coincident with the inauguration of the EGLINTON bus route, service cut back at the north end to a wye at Oriole Parkway and Eglinton Avenue.
