March 31, 1973

Coincident with the extension of the YONGE SUBWAY to York Mills, service on the old 14 CHAPLIN bus route is revised, to give residents and workers on Glencairn Avenue more direct access to the subway. Service begins on the new 14 GLENCAIRN route, operating from Eglinton station on the YONGE SUBWAY via west on Eglinton, northwest on Chaplin, west on Roselawn, north on Bathurst and west on Glencairn to loop at Caledonia via south on Lansdowne, west on Tycos and north on Caledonia to Glencairn, returning via the reverse route. Buses operate 7 days a week, 18 hours a day.

Previous service on Chaplin Crescent south of Eglinton replaced by a branch of the [33 FOREST HILL](/bus/routes/33-forest-hill.shtml) bus. Service to Ranee in the Lawrence Heights neighbourhood now provided by the [52B LAWRENCE](/bus/routes/lawrence-193419.shtml) bus.
