December 10, 1979

Coincident with the opening of a new bridge extending Islington Avenue over the CN railway tracks between Judson and New Toronto streets, a new bus route is established, extending bus service on Islington south from Judson to Lake Shore Boulevard. Buses on 110 ISLINGTON SOUTH operate from Islington station via east on Bloor and south on Islington to loop via west on Lake Shore, north on Eighth and east on Birmingham to Islington, returning via the reverse route. Buses operate Monday to Friday, during rush hours and midday. Service operates out of Queensway garage.

Service on the 110 branch remains the same. Service on the original 38 branch designated 110A, operating from Islington station via south on Islington, west on Judson, west on Horner, south on Brown’s Line and west on Lake Shore to Long Branch loop, returning via the reverse route. Buses operate seven days a week, 18 hours a day.

Service on the old 38A branch designated 110B. Effective Tuesday, September 5, buses operate from Islington station via south on Islington, west on Judson, west on Horner, south on 30th Street and west on Lake Shore to Long Branch loop, returning via the reverse route. Buses on this branch operate during rush hours only.

All buses leave from the same bus bay at Islington station.
