Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Hakimi - Lebovic; Pharmacy: Overnight traffic-lane closures, TTC detours, September 13, 14, 15



Update — Friday, September 17, 3:04 p.m.: The overnight construction and the resulting detour routing for September 14 and 15 continues from 8 p.m. Friday, September 17 until 6 a.m. Saturday, September 18.

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.


From 8 p.m. Monday, September 13 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 14 and from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, contractors are restoring the roadway

  • on Eglinton Avenue East between Warden Avenue and Eglinton Square,

near the sites of the future Hakimi / Lebovic and Pharmacy stops.

Overnight September 13 and 14, the work zone blocks all westbound lanes on the north side of the roadway. Traffic in both direction flows on the south side.

(Updated — Friday, September 17, 3:04 p.m.) Overnight September 14 and 15 and September 17 and 18, the work zone blocks all eastbound lanes on the south side of the roadway. Traffic in both directions flows on the north side.

Crews don’t work and traffic flows on both sides of the street before 8 p.m. Monday, from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 6 a.m. Wednesday.

For transit passengers:

From 8 p.m. Monday, September 13 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, the TTC detours buses along these routes during the construction:

  • 67 Pharmacy; and
  • 70 O’Connor.

Buses along these routes skip all stops between Warden Avenue and Eglinton Square:

  • 34 Eglinton East; and
  • 334 Eglinton East overnight.

(Updated — Friday, September 17, 3:04 p.m.) From 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 14 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 15 and from 8 p.m. Friday, September 17 until 6 a.m. Saturday, September 18, the TTC detours buses along this route during the construction:

For motorists:

Overnight September 13 and 14, the work zone blocks all westbound lanes on the north side of the roadway. Traffic in both direction flows on the south side. It also blocks the intersections of Eglinton East with Hakimi Avenue / Lebovic Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue to north-south through traffic.

From 8 a.m. Monday, September 13 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 14 and from 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 14 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, *September 15, **westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue East at Hakimi Avenue, beside #1900 Eglinton East, at Pharmacy Avenue and across from Eglinton Square.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue East beyond Pharmacy Avenue, at Lebovic Avenue, beyond Lebovic Avenue and at Warden Avenue.
70A / 70B O’Connor

From 8 a.m. Monday, September 13 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, southbound buses start their trips on Jonesville Crescent east of Victoria Park Avenue, then proceed:

southward along Victoria Park to O’Connor Drive,
resuming their regular route southwestward along O’Connor.

Southbound buses along the 70A branch skip their regular stops

  • on Craigton Drive at Pharmacy Avenue,
  • on Pharmacy Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East and
  • on Eglinton Square at Victoria Park Avenue.

Southbound buses along the 70B branch skip their regular stops

  • on Victoria Park Avenue south of O’Connor Drive and at Sunrise Avenue and
  • on Sunrise Avenue beyond Victoria Park Avenue and at O’Connor Drive.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to O’Connor Drive and Victoria Park Avenue, then detour:

northward along Victoria Park;
northwestward along Eglinton Avenue East; and then
eastward along Jonesville Crescent to Victoria Park,
ending their trips.

Northbound buses along the 70A branch skip their regular stops

  • on Victoria Park Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East and beyond Eglinton Avenue East and
  • on Craigton Drive beyond Victoria Park Avenue, across from Rannock Street and at Pharmacy Avenue.

Northbound buses along the 70B branch skip their regular stop

  • on Victoria Park Avenue beyond O’Connor Drive.
67 Pharmacy

(Updated — Friday, September 17, 3:04 p.m.) The TTC diverts buses along two different detour paths during two overnight periods:


From 8 p.m. Monday, September 13 until 6 a.m. Monday, September 14, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Pharmacy Avenue and Ashtonbee Road, then detour:

eastward along Ashtonbee;
southward along Warden Avenue; and then
westward along Eglinton Avenue East to Pharmacy,
resuming their regular route southward along Pharmacy.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Pharmacy Avenue at Craigton Drive and Eglinton Avenue East.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Warden Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Pharmacy Avenue across from Craigton Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Warden Avenue beyond Eglinton Avenue East.
