Starting Friday, April 5, you can buy one-ride, two-ride and day-pass PRESTO tickets at fare-vending machines in Yorkdale and Lawrence West stations on the TTC’s Line 1 Yonge - University subway. PRESTO tickets will be available at all stations this summer and many Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Toronto later this year.

Infrequent travellers or visitors to the Toronto older than 12 years of age can use PRESTO tickets. A group / family day pass PRESTO ticket is not available.

PRESTO tickets cost:

  • One-ride: $3.25;
  • Two-ride: $6.50; and
  • Day-pass: $13.00.

PRESTO Tickets expire 90 days after you buy them. A PRESTO ticket also allows you to transfer to another TTC vehicle within two hours after you first boarded the TTC.

You must tap your PRESTO Ticket every time you enter a subway station and whenever you board a bus or streetcar. Your tapped PRESTO card is your Proof-of-Payment. You must keep it with you while travelling on the system and be prepared to show it to a TTC fare inspector upon request. Once you’ve used your fares and your transfer or day pass has expired, you must buy another ticket at Lawrence West or Yorkdale stations or pay by cash. PRESTO Tickets are not reloadable.

You can only use PRESTO tickets to pay your fare on the TTC. You can’t use them on any of the other transit agencies that use PRESTO.
