TTC detour, January 12 to 15



The City of Toronto is closing

  • Bay Street between Richmond and Adelaide Streets West

this weekend, as contractors lift a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 6 Bay.

From 10 p.m. Friday, January 12 until 5 a.m. Monday, January 15, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Richmond Street West, then detour:

westward along Richmond West;
southward along University Avenue; and then
eastward along Adelaide Street West to Bay,
resuming their regular route southward along Bay.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street at Adelaide Street West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Richmond Street West west of Bay and York Streets and
  • on Adelaide Street West west of University Avenue and at Bay Street.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and Adelaide Street West, then detour:

eastward along Adelaide West;
northward along Yonge Street; and then
westward along Richmond Street West to Bay,
resuming their regular route northward along Bay.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Bay Street north of Adelaide Street West.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Richmond Street West west of Yonge Street.
