Durham Region Transit revises services,
November 3

Durham Region Transit is making minor changes to its services — many resulting from ongoing construction in the bus terminal at Pickering GO Station — starting Monday, November 3.

DRT is revising service along these routes: 105 West Shore; 106 Bay Ridges; 110A Central Pickering; 112 Brock; 112D Brock - Valley Farm; 219 Ravenscroft; 225A Audley North; 922 Bloor - Victoria; 923 Bayly.

Specifically, DRT is: revising the path for buses operating along routes; adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes; and making other changes to service along routes.

Revising the path for buses operating along routes

106 Bay Ridges

Starting Monday, November 3, due to ongoing construction at Pickering GO Station bus terminal, buses pick up passengers on Bayly Street beside the station.

As a result, DRT is revising the path for buses operating along the route. The buses operating along their usual route to Modlin Road and Tatra Drive, then proceed:

eastward along Tatra;
northward along Krosno Boulevard; and then
westward along Bayly Street to Pickering GO Station,
ending their trips.

Buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at these stops

  • on Tatra Drive at Sangro Lane and Liverpool Road,
  • on Liverpool Road at Bayly Street and
  • on Bayly Street east of Liverpool Road.

DRT has not announced stop locations for the revised route.

DRT is also making other changes to service along the route and adjusting the schedule of the route.

922 Bloor / Victoria

Starting Monday, November 3, the westbound bus that leaves Bloor Street East west of Farewell Street at 2:50 p.m. Mondays to Fridays does not divert into the College Hill area. Instead, it operates only on Bloor Streets East and West, ending its trip in Oshawa GO Station bus terminal at 3:15 p.m.

It returns to the station and ends its trip at 3:18 p.m.

DRT is encouraging passengers connecting with GO Transit trains and buses or other DRT buses at the GO station to cross highway 401 on the pedestrian bridge to reach Pickering GO Station, instead of waiting aboard the bus for 15 minutes.
