Starting June 9, Hanlan Water project
affects more MiWay service



The Hanlan Water Project is the Region of Peel’s largest and most extensive water infrastructure project.

The project to upgrade the feeder mains to the Hanlan Water Treatment Plant has been affecting MiWay service along the 5 Dixie and 23 Lakeshore MiLocal routes since Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

Starting Monday, June 9, work on the project affects more MiWay service:

  • lane restrictions on Lakeshore Road East between Sersen Creek and Haig Boulevard affect service along the 5 Dixie and 23 Lakeshore routes. The lane restrictions continue until further notice.
  • lane restrictions on Dixie Road at Golden Orchard Drive affect service along the 5 Dixie route. The lane restrictions continue until further notice.
  • lane restrictions on Tomken Road between south of Highway 401 and Timberlea Boulevard affect service along the 51 Tomken route. The lane restrictions continue until January 2017.
